โœฆ Synopsis


The crystal structures of double perovskite BaLaMRuO 6 (M โ€ซุโ€ฌ Mg, Zn) obtained from the re5nements on both X-ray and neutron di4raction data, di4erent from those reported previously that used either X-ray or neutron di4raction data alone, are reported. The room temperature X-ray and neutron data were re5ned with a model in the tetragonal space group I4/m (a โ€ซุโ€ฌ 5.6230(4), c โ€ซุโ€ฌ 7.964(1) A s , V โ€ซุโ€ฌ 251.81(4) A s 3 for M โ€ซุโ€ฌ Mg; a โ€ซุโ€ฌ 5.6521(3), c โ€ซุโ€ฌ 7.9987(9) A s , V โ€ซุโ€ฌ 255.53(3) A s 3 for M โ€ซุโ€ฌ Zn). The low-temperature neutron di4raction data of the two compounds are also re5ned in the same space group (a โ€ซุโ€ฌ 5.6156(4),
