A highway crash brings Anne Silva into the world of Taylor Delaney.
How is it possible that the beautiful woman she now works with, happens to be the one she ran from? Coincidence? That’s one word to use for it, but Taylor doesn’t need to define it. All she knows is that she’ll do anything to make it right, even taking her last dime to cover the costs. Making it right with Anne could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
But Anne’s heart wants more. Taylor fills this hole inside of her heart, that she didn’t even know she had. As things heat up between them, Taylor’s schedule at the Corrine Ann Petronne Medical Center (CAPMED) starts to get hectic, leaving her to believe that some shady business is happening within the management. She just wants support from the one woman who has been right by her side, but Anne finds it hard to believe the accusations that Taylor is spewing, especially when Anne’s mentors are the ones Taylor is accusing in the process.
With their heads butting, there’s nowhere to go, but pushing Taylor right out the door. Taylor feels like Anne has abandoned her. Taylor is alone and scared that CAPMED is going to be her demise if she doesn’t let it go. With no income and nobody to confide in who will understand hospital life, she must throw herself into figuring out the next chapter in her life, even if she wants to fight for the relationship she misses.
Taylor isn’t the only one trying to figure out her path. Anne’s schedule is now getting busier, with the loss of an employee and another one on maternity leave, Anne finds her career bringing her down. When Anne tries to get to the bottom of the scheduling, she quickly learns that not believing Taylor is her biggest regret and it seems that the people she once trusted are no more. There’s just one problem, getting down to the bottom of it, when everyone wants to deny their problem.
Anne wants to make amends and fill that hole in her heart from Taylor’s leaving. Will Anne be able to keep the career she helped build and get back that piece of her heart?
Or will she be forced to let one of them go forever?
