✦ Synopsis

We study an analytical solution to the Einstein's equations in 2 + l-dimensions, representing the self-similar collapse of a circularly symmetric, minimally coupled, massless, scalar field. Depending on the value of certain parameters, this solution represents the formation of asymptotically flat, naked singularities.

For a large class of reversible vector fields on the three-dimensional space we present all the topological types and their respective normal forms of the symmetric singularities of eodimension O, 1.
