β¦ Synopsis
A class of neutral type nonlinear difference equations is studied. We show that eventually positive solutions either converge to zero, to positive constants, or to positive infinity. Sufficient conditions are then provided for the existence of these solutions. Partial converses are also given.

We consider the nonlinear neutral differential equations. This work contains some sufficient conditions for the existence of a positive solution which is bounded with exponential functions. The case when the solution converges to zero is also treated.
Some Riccati type difference inequalities are given for the second-order nonlinear difference equations with nonlinear neutral term A(anA(Xn -4-~(vt, xr,.))) + qnf(xg,.) = 0 and using these inequalities, we obtain some oscillation criteria for the above equation. (~) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All r
