## Abstract Soft and hard walls are realized for a circular waveguide with walls coated by a uniform dielectric layer of appropriate thickness and loaded with conducting strips. The strips are oriented along the waveguide axis (__z__βaxis) for hard surfaces or Οβdirected for soft surfaces in a peri

β¦ Synopsis
We discuss the unidirectional current screen as an asymp-( ) totic strip boundary condition ASBC for analysis of field problems containing metal strip grids, and we introduce a related asymptotic ( ) corrugation boundary condition ACBC for analysis of corrugated surfaces. The boundary conditions are asymptotic in the sense that the exact boundary conditions approach the asymptotic ones when the strip and corrugation periods approach zero.

## Abstract An infinite circular cylinder, made of periodic circular conducting discs separated by circular dielectric discs, is considered. The cylinder is excited by an oblique planeβwave incident. A simple asymptotic solution is presented for the problem by considering that the periodicity perio
