โœฆ Synopsis


Abstract

A facile asymmetric synthesis of [Cโ€1โ€^3^H]โ€labelled (+)โ€trans[1R,3R]โ€chrysanthemic acid, required for biosynthetic studies is described. The tritium labelled acid is prepared from the corresponding (โˆ’)โ€cis[1S,3R]โ€ester by selective epimerisation of the Cโ€1 centre in the latter, in the presence of tritiated water.
