✦ Synopsis

CK-BB nctivity is suspected to play a role in the development of breast cancer as CK-BB's transufiptiou enuld be enhanced by estrogen and by oncogene products from adenoviruses. The disruption of CK metabolic pathway could result in a suppression of tumor 8rowth.

Objeet~a To examine if CK-BB aotivity is assnoiated with clinical and pathological feetures of breast canoer and the survival of the patients.

Methoda Tumor tim~ from 172 conseeutlve breast cancer patients were

## Abstract The relative expression of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) mRNA transcripts was measured in 71 primary breast‐cancer biopsies. ER and PR binding activity were estimated in parallel by the dextran‐coated‐charcoal method. There was a close correlation between the amo

Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), neuron-specific enolase (NSE), and the BB isoenzyme of creatine kinase (CK-BB) were evaluated before therapy in the sera of 195 patients with histologically confirmed small cell lung cancer (SCLC) in a prospective multicenter trial. Forty-four percent (84 of 193) of a
