A brief review of the elementary reactions in the kaons electroproduction associated with the A or C hyperons is presented.

Some developments in recent theoretical approaches are emphasized with respect to the reaction mechanism, off-shell effects, and the electromagnetic form factors of kaons and kaonic resonances.
