The infrared spectra of carbohydrazide, diprotonated carbohydrazide and t h e i r deuterated canpounds have been measured i n t h e solid s t a t e . Frcin t h e results on thio-and selenocarbohydrazides and other r e l a t e d molecules and normal covrdinate analyses using a Urey-Bradley f o r c e f i e l d assignments of t h e fundamental v i b r a t i o n a l frequencies and a description of t h e normal modes of carbohydrazide, diprotonated carbohydrazide and t h e i r deuterated species a r e given .
