The emission and excitation spectra at 1.4 K of solid neat CrOrClr, Cr02C12 in Ccl, and Cr02C12 in SnCI, are reported and analyzed. The emission in the three systems is assigned as phosphorescence from the CrOrClr moiety based on the vibronic analyses, measured lifetimes and ODMR activity.

## Abstract The semiempirical PPP‐SCF‐SCI method has been adapted to even‐electron, open‐shell π‐systems by performing the SCF calculation on the lowest triplet configuration and choosing a limited set of single electronic excitations from the latter for configuration interaction. The basic approxi
The polarized phosphorescence spectra of 1,s naphthyridine and 1,s naphthyridine-& in duene and durenedtq mtied crystals have been observed at 4°K. The emitting triplet state is assigned 3B,( rr,rr\*). In theory, the assignment of the lowest singlet n,n\* state on be determined from a consideration
Spin-sublevel phosphorescence spectra of pyrimidine in benzene are reported• The spectra related to the in-plane spin axes consist of progressions of totally symmetric bands, whereas that of the third sublevel in addition shows strong nontotally symmetric bands. Assignments are given, and some out-o
