✦ Synopsis

We derive the length distribution of polymer strands in a random assembling process, starting from activated monomers of two different kinds. The intrinsic quenched disorder with breaking of the replica symmetry is a consequence of the intra-chain shortrange interactions near the theta point. A novel grand ensemble approach is introduced in which the partition function is averaged over the quenched disorder.
