Fire Island in early May, after the winter ice melts and before the summer crowd arrives, is the ideal time to raise a submarine from the dead.

Six adventurers -- five men and a woman -- salvage a World War I German submarine from the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. They will use it in executing a daring idea, an idea methodically planned and timed with scientific precision.
