✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Investigations of magnetic form factors of Co–Fe (f.c.c.) alloys by polarized neutrons are described. It is shown that the asphericity of the spin‐density distribution and the magnetic moment of conduction electrons increases with the iron content. Both results are discussed in terms of the existing theories of magnetism in transition metals. The results obtained for the most heavily doped sample, Co~0.86~F~0.14~, indicate on the existence of the iron‐iron interaction which probably leads to a change of the electronic structure of iron.
