โœฆ Synopsis

This paper describes the teaching at a distance of some aspects of software engineering. It describes an undergraduate course in some detail, and addresses itself to three problem areas encountered in the writing of the course and explains the solutions that were adopted. Initial feedback on the course suggests that the attempt has been successful and that the approach is one that could usefully be employed elsewhere.
