Slaine 'Phoenix' Tierny is a phoenix shifter and stripper at Club Risque who's down on his luck. After a kitchen fire and a baseless accusation lands him in court and the legal fees start piling up Slaine is barely making ends meet. Not having anyone to share his burdens with is also taking a toll so when a lady at a bachelorette party decides to set him up with her brother, Slaine goes with it.

Rafe Newark is a wolf shifter and firefighter. After going through a bad break-up that resulted in the loss of a friendship years before, he's sworn off dating and any form of friendly relationships. When he gets a text from a stranger who has the wrong number he tries to correct them and send them on their way. Things don't go as planned and when the man on the other end of the line asks for a date Rafe has to make a decision.

Will Rafe be able to put himself out there again? Can Slaine's luck change? Or will their circumstances keep them apart?
