✦ Synopsis

Abatmet-Tests were carried out on large center-notched tensile panels in which the crack was extended at both ends by means of sawing under constant load. The critical crack lengths were much longer than in normal residual strengtb tests. Nevertheless it turned out that the results fit into the R-curve concept and as such the data do agree with those from normal tests.
