In this communication we explore the possibilities of using magnetostatic resonators as inclusions for artificial magnetoelectric com-( ) posites as suggested by Kamenetskii . The appropriate form of effecti¨e constituti¨e relations is identified; the properties of eigenwa¨es and reflection and transmission coefficients in slabs are analyzed for uniaxial structures. Potential applications are briefly addressed.
