โœฆ Synopsis

was awarded the d'Arsonval Medal. The highest honor conferred by the Society, the d'Arsonval Medal is a recognition of extraordinary achievement. A remarkable parallel exists between physicistphysician-biologist d' Arsonval and engineer Guy: When confronted with experimental problems for which there were no instrumental solutions, d'Arsonva1 went to the bench and invented the requisite instruments. So, too, Prof. Guy; he is a gifted, truly creative crafter of electronic machines, and among his more notable achievements are the conception and development of guided-wave cavities and other exposure systems as tools of biological discovery. From his laboratory, and from those of other investigators that have adopted his machines, have emerged many of the data that form the base of knowledge of bioelectromagnetics .
