The oxidation of methane over a Pd/A1203 catalyst was studied for oxygen-to-methane ratios ("r") varying from 4 to 0.66. After aging under the reactants mixture at 600Β°C an increase in the catalytic activity was observed whatever the "F" value. In addition, the selectivity of the reaction depends on
