"Arms of the Kraken" is a George R. R. Martin novella that was first published in Dragon magazine, issue #305. The story is set in the Iron Islands during the War of the Five Kings. The four chapters that comprise "Arms of the Kraken" were later published as parts of the fourth book in the series, A Feast for Crows: The Prophet, The Kraken's Daughter, The Iron Captain, and The Drowned Man.
