The effect of quartz, burnt quartz and ammonium phosphate on the polymerization of methyl methacrylate in aqueous medium using sodium bisulfite as initiator is studied. The quartz ore has a higher catalytic effect than the burnt quartz. The effect of the additives on the polymerization rate, on the apparent activation energy and on the molecular mass is described and discussed.
Die Polymerisation von Methylmethacrylat in waprigem Medium in Gegenwart einiger anorganischer Substanzen
Der EinfluB von Quarz, gebranntem Quarz und Ammoniumphosphat auf die durch Natriumbisulfit initiierte Polymerisation von Methylmethacrylat in waBrigem Medium wird untersucht. Unbehandelter Quarz hat einen groljeren katalytischen Effekt als gebrannter Quarz. Der EinfluD der Zusatze auf die Polymerisationsgeschwindigkeit, dic. scheinbare Aktivierungsenergie und Molekiilmasse wird beschrieben und diskutiert.
