✦ Synopsis

The title compound, [Zn(C 9 H 9 Br 2 NO 4 S)(C 8 H 8 N 2 )(H 2 O)]Á-C 2 H 5 OH, was synthesized in a water±ethanol solution. In the structure, one Zn atom is six-coordinated by three ligands to form the neutral complex, in which the Zn atom has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. Molecules form dimers through OÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds.
