Abstract
In this paper, an analysis of printed quadrifilar helical antennas (PQHAs) using the FDTD method is presented. We develop an in‐house software taking into account the dielectric substrate. A tape form meshing is used in modeling the PQHA strip. A good agreement observed between theory and experimental results proves the validity of the method used by the in‐house code for the PQHAs. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
