✦ Synopsis

The acquisition and implementation of standard software packages carries with it a need for compromise between the software's capabilities and user information needs. The likelihood for successfully meeting the user's needs, as evidenced by this case study, can be greatly increased by employing a combination of pilot systems and prototypes in the implementation process.
