✦ Synopsis
A sudy of a wide variety of wloured main group metal, transition metal coordination and transition metal organometallic wmplexes using Fourier transform Raman (FT-Raman) spectroscopy has demonstrated a high success rate (ca 50%) with good quality spectra obtained in short periods of time. It is suggested that FT-Raman spectroscopy should now be regarded as a routine spectroscopic tool for use in inorganic as well as organic research and teaching laboratories. * pp = o-phenylene bis (diphenylpbosphine). t dpme = 1,2-dimethylphosphinoethane. * ox = oxalato. 0 aqueous solution.
