✦ Synopsis

The problem is considered of correcting nonlinear coordinate distortions generated by cathode ray tube scanner. Orthogonal bivariate polynomials are used to solve the computational part of this problem. The symbolic algebraic algorithm, proposed for the evaluation of orthogonal polynomials, is performed by the REDUCE-2 algebraic manipulation system.
