✦ Synopsis

At~traet -Considering the analogous heat characteristics in both catalytic and non-catalytic fixed bed reactors, the improvement in perfomumcs of solid/vapor non-catalytic chemical heat pump(CHP) is envisaged by using the forced unsteady-state operation of periodic flow reversal reactors, which results in the so-called tbermal wave ClIP system or reverse flow ClIP system. According to the cycle principle of CaCI2/CH3OH thennocbemical CHP, a dynamic distributed parameter model for this type operation is proposed. The results of the model show significant COP h and COP L improvement with respect to existing traditional ClIP systems. The thermal wave pbenomeun in the fixed bed and the effects of the parameters on total performances of CHP system are discussed by numerical simulations
