ISOL-type radioactive nuclear beam facilities can provide a wide spectrum of low energy isotopic beams at the isotope/mass separator stage. These beams have the potential to promote significant expansion for applications of radioactivity in diverse areas of basic or applied research. Examples in the physical, biomedical and environmental sciences are presented.
