✦ Synopsis

Since 1984, a plant for gas separation has been planned to refine landfill gas. The enrichment of the equimolar landfill gas (CH,/COP) takes place through a Monsanto Prism separator. After about 15 000 working hours the capacity of the plant had not changed. The chosen components of the plant withstood the test. The purification of the flow of landfill gas from 50% to more than 90% CH4 is feasible and can be economically recommended for landfills with a production of gas of more than 300 Nm3 h-'.
