โฆ Synopsis
The present paper serves three purposes: (1) To introduce a relatzvely new network computer design that is capable o I solving a set o] twenty algebraic equations expressed by the dimensionless relation ri:~-J+ L h'-t ~ohere ~j and d~. are constants depending on the nature o] the problem, and 9 may be an arbitrary linear or non-linear lunction of r. With those quantities unknown r~-profiles art' obtained by the computer as a lunction o I the parameter L. (2) It will be demonstrated that this computer can be used /or the evaluation o I flame speeds lrom the laminar flame equation. The accuracy o~ the computed eigenvaIues lies wzthin +_2 per cent as compared with numerical solutions of this equation. (3) Alter the accuracy o I the computer has been established it is used to determine the validity of the Centroid Rule /or condensed-phase propellant combustion, since the application o I this rule previously had been questioned. It appears that within the limits o I accuracy o I the computer the Centroid Rule must be regarded as valid.

## Abstract A general investigation of the nature of an iterative, __LC__ lattice structure, shown to function as a transmission channel capable of carrying two distinct wave modes, is carried out. Both a uniform system and an inhomogeneous case where the capacitor values vary slowly down the latti
Generalising the divisibility relation of terms we introduce the lattice of so-called involutive divisions and define the admissibility of such an involutive division for a given set of terms. Based on this theory we present a new approach for building a general theory of involutive bases of polynom
The structure and propagation of stretched premixed flames with preferential diffusion are analyzed using an approximate integral approach which yields algebraic relations for the characteristic scales, overall conservation requirements, and balances and continuity between the various scalar propert
