✦ Synopsis
The finite-difference time-domain method FDTD is widely applied for the analysis of ¨arious microwa¨e circuits. In this letter, an important aspect of an internal resisti¨e source modeling is emphasized for reducing the number of time steps required for the FDTD calculation to con¨erge, especially for transient excitation. A CPW folded-slot antenna and CPS bandstop filter are chosen as complex structures to illustrate the ad¨antage of an internal resisti¨e source modeling. The numerical results show that the internal resisti¨e source modeling is numerically efficient and accurate in analyzing CPW and CPS circuits.
