โฆ Synopsis
Four equations that may be used in the analysis of ternary mixtures are derived. All of these equations are based o n the relationship between absorbancy ratio values and the relative concentration of one of the components in the ternary mixture. To indicate the applicability of these equations, three ternary mixtures were investigated, one in the ultraviolet region and two in the infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Methods of plotting data are discussed and the utility of such plots under specific analytical situations are pointed out.
