โœฆ Synopsis

The interaction of slow neutrons with liquid Hz and D2 is described in a simple way with the use of a synthetic scattering function. The analytical expressions derived from this model allow a very fast evaluation of the total cross section as well as the isotropic and the anisotropic energy-transfer kernels. From these. neutron scattering and transport properties are calculated and compared with available experimental results for both liquids.

## Abstract Interaction between rotation and intrinsic motion is considered in the framework of the semiphenomenological model of the nucleus (the schemes of strong and weak coupling). The theory is applied to the description of the rotational spectra up to states with high values of the angular mo
