In psoriatic patients, anthralin is known to attenuate lesional inflammation, but often generates perilesional dermatitis. This phenomenon is well reflected by the contrasting action of anthralin on human leukocytes. The release of reactive oxygen species (ROS) is inhibited by anthralin in phorbol e
