Antigen cross-presentation is a principal function of specialized antigen-presenting cells of bone marrow origin such as dendritic cells. Although these cells are sometimes known as "professional" antigen-presenting cells, nonbone marrow-derived cells may also act as antigen-presenting cells. Here,

## Abstract This work was undertaken to further define the antigen‐presenting capabilities of thyroid epithelial cells, as this is of paramount importance with regard to their potential to trigger autoimmune thyroiditis. For this purpose we developed the murine cloned thyroid‐derived epithelial cel
