We report muon spin rotation/relaxation (~SR) measurements of the heavy fermion superconductor UPt 3. We observe the appearance of a spontaneous internal magnetic field at T = 475 inK, which is about 80 mK below T c. This transition likely corresponds to the lower superconducting transition observed

The heavy fermion superconductor UPt, has a superconducting transition at 0.5 K and ## IN an antiferromagnetic transition at 5 K. We present measurements in the vicinity of the antiferromagnetic transition of both the sound velocity and magnetisation.
