Recent studies have shown that the interstitial nucleus of Cajal (INC) in the midbrain reticular formation is involved in the conversion of vertical semicircular canal signals into eye position during vertical vestibulo-ocular reflexes. Secondary vestibulo-ocular relay neurons related to the vertica
