✦ Synopsis
Abstract
By use of an enzyme‐lined immunosorbent assay (ELISA), patients with Sjögren's syndrome were found to have levels of serum IgG antibody to cytomegalovirus twice those of matched control subjects, and IgM antibody levels which were three times as high. It may be relevant that features of cytomegalovirus infection are similar to those of Sjögren's syndrome.
