✦ Synopsis

Maltose

is separated from glucose and other polysaccharides by adsorption on dealuminated Y zeolites (6-9 Al atoms/unit cell) and desorption with HzO. A Y zeolite with 15 Al atoms/unit cell separated disaccharides from higher saccharides, but did not separate maltose from glucose.
