Abstract
A group of six new antifungal metabolites (ambruticins VS‐1 to ‐5, VS‐3 N‐oxide) was isolated from the myxobacterium Sorangium cellulosum. They were separated by RP chromatography and identified as (5__S__,6__R__)‐5‐amino‐6‐hydroxypolyangioic acids 1b–e, 2b and methyl ester 2a by spectroscopic methods.
