P l e n t y Mirrlees P u m p s have recently c o m p l e t e d a project for BP in t h e UK, for t h e development and supply of two of the largest variable capacity rotary sliding vane p u m p s ever produced by the company.

The a p p l i c a t i o n i n v o l v e s transferring feedstock from a t r a n s i t site, through a 6.5 km c r o s s c o u n t r y p i p e l i n e . U n t i l now, the feedstock has been p u m p e d via a n i n t e r m e d i a t e s t o r a g e / p u m p i n g installation.
