We report the synthesis of 2,5-bis-[4-amidinophenyl]furan bis-amidoxime(2), the corresponding bis-O-methylamidoxime(3) and the corresponding bis-O-ethylamidoxime(4) and their evaluation as prodrugs against Pneung~stis carinii pneumonia.
