โœฆ Synopsis


Abstract

Complement fixation reactions were obtained with the use of cytoplasmic cellular constituents and sera from patients with S.L.E. as well as sera from cases of primary biliary cirrhosis and Sjogren's syndrome. These reactions were independent of those involving nuclear components. The serum proteins responsible for the described reactions were shown to be gamma globulins. Evidence was produced that different constituents of microsomes were responsible for the reactions in the different diseases.
