✦ Synopsis
Cross sections for J/¢,C' and Drell-Yan production in Pb+Pb collisions at 158xA GeV/c are presented and compared with results obtained by the NA38 and NA51 collaborations. The Pb+Pb data have been collected by the NA50 collaboration using the NA38 dimuon spectrometer. The Drell-Yan mechanism is found to scale as (Aprojectae " Btaraet) in P+Btarget and Aproj~aite + B,a,get collisions including Pb+Pb collisions. Regarding J/C,

Measurements of ¢ and ¢' production at the CERN SPS are compared to predictions based on a hadronic model of charmonium suppression. Detailed information is presented to facilitate comparison to other analyses. Sensitivity of these conclusions to the model parameters is discussed.
The NA50 experiment measures, at CERN SPS, the dimuon production in Pb-Pb collisions at 158 GeV/c incident momentum. In this paper an analysis of the intermediate 0375-9474(96)$15.
The series of experiments (WAS5, WA94 and WA97) at the Omega spectrometer at CERN SPS have systematically studied the production of different strange particles. Strangeness enhancements at central rapidities have been reported by WA85 and WA94 in S-W and S S with respect to p A collisions. For the i
