✦ Synopsis
Although the differences in properties as a function 2. of heat treatment environment are small, the data indicate that air curing enhances all properties over either helium, or hydrogen curing except for the 3. thermal expansion. Also, considering the air cured materials as a group, there is little effect of baking environment on the properties of these materials. The 4. relatively small spread in the average thermal expansion (25700%) values (z) argues for a high degree of consistency for the graphites made in this 5. preliminary study.
