β¦ Synopsis
The g-factors of the diphenylacetylene and diphenyldiacethylene anion radicals were measured and found to be 2.00264 and 2.00216 respectively. The unexpected difference behvveen these values is esplained by interaction of the phenyl groups with the acetylene p-orbitals.
