✦ Synopsis
Evaporated thin films of bis( 1,2-benzoquinonedioximato)Pt (II), Pt (bqd)*, were prepared under various conditions. The absorption bands of the oriented and the amorphous films on a quartz or a glass substrate were observed at around 28000,240OO and 8000 cm-'. When Pt(bqd)z was deposited on a NaCl substrate by sublimation, an unusual film was prepared. The bands in this film were located at around 26000 and 20000 cm-'. The 8000 cm-' band was not found in the unusual film. It was transformed to the ordinary oriented film at about 170°C.
