Amorphous alloys Fe40Ni40B2,, and Fe3yNi3yB,0Si12 exhibit a typical active/passive transition when anodically polarized in borate and/or phthalate buffer solutions, at pH = 4.0; 5.3; 6.3 and 8.4. There is no large effect of Si on the anodic behaviour of the alloys in these media. Both alloys underg

Abstract
This research work was carried out to find the optimum conditions for anodic sampling of steels, aluminium alloys, brass etc. It was found using electrolyte: the water solution of ammon‐nitrat (1 g/l) and hydrochloric acid (conc.) in volume ratio 1:1, give the best results if the duration of electrochemical process was 45 s and D.C. current was 4.5 V.
The elements which are sampled were datected by thin layer chromatography and optical emission spectrometry.
