The anodic oxidation of isoeugenol methykther and 4qropylveratrole has been studied in unbuffered acetonitrile solution and in solutions bufkred with pyridine and 2,6_lutidine using cyclic voltammetry, steady-state measurements on rotating electrodes, couloti~etry, esr, ~*spactro8copy, nonlinear galvanostatics and preparative electrolysis. Reaction mechanisms. which account for the experimental results, are presented and discussed.
