✦ Synopsis

The electrochemical properties of two series of 2,3-dihydrothiazolo benzimidazol-3-one derivatives in non aqueous medium are investigated. Oxidation lead to the fission of the molecule of 2-arylazo compounds (Is-g) with the formation of sulphone whereas 2.arylidene compounds (lb-r) gave only the sulphone derivative as the non substituted heterocycle IV. On the other hand 1,3-dihydrobenzimidazot-2thione dimerized.
